What a rate check looks like

From our own rate requests, October 2026. Channel names withheld until a brand approves the list.
Channel Views per video First quote Per 1,000 views What it's for
AI coding tutorialsdev tools, agents, workflows ~17–25K $5,000 $200–290 One 60–90s integration
AI automation and agentsno-code, business use ~17–25K $8,000 $320–470 One 60–90s integration
Two channels of similar size, a $3,000 difference. That's why you ask ten, not one. A real rate check also lists open dates and what each quote includes.

Does this sound like you?

  • You sell an AI, SaaS or developer tool with a free trial or self-serve signup.
  • You've sponsored one or two YouTube videos in the last few months, and at least one did better than you expected.
  • Nobody owns sponsorships. The founder or one marketer does it between other things.
  • The last one took hours of searching and weeks of emails, and half the channels you wrote to never answered.
  • You're not sure the price was fair, and you can't tell what the next one should cost.

If three of these are true, the free rate check is for you. If YouTube isn't a fit for your product, we'll say so.

What takes your time, and what we do about it

Finding channels, and getting an answer

Searching YouTube for channels that fit takes hours. Checking a batch of 20 or 30 takes days. Then many creators never reply, and the ones who do need a follow-up or two.

This is the part we take off your plate. We build a shortlist matched to the creators you already sponsor, write to each channel, follow up and bring back every quote. You approve the list once.

We check each channel by the median views of its last 10 long-form videos, not subscribers, look at who sponsored it recently, and lean toward creators without a manager, where prices move. Before you book, we ask for the country split from their analytics.

First quotes are all over the place

There's no public price list for AI and dev channels, and the rate guides disagree with each other. Creators often price by subscribers, not by what a video gets now. One quote tells you nothing.

Real quotes side by side tell you what one quote can't. We put each one against the channel's median views, so you compare price per 1,000 views and per expected signup, not the price tag.

The two channels in the sheet above had similar views. One asked $5,000, the other $8,000.

The first quote becomes the price

With no time to negotiate, the first number gets accepted. Usage rights, exclusivity and review deadlines get forgotten until they cause a problem.

We negotiate from data: the channel's real views against a fair rate range, plus the levers creators actually say yes to, like flexible dates, fast payment and a three-video bundle.

Every deal uses the same written structure: rate, deliverables, usage rights, exclusivity, review dates and, where the creator agrees, a view guarantee.

Nobody has time for it

It lands on the founder or one marketer, between everything else. Agencies that could take it usually want a monthly retainer or a minimum bigger than your whole test budget.

No retainer, no minimum. The rate check is free, and our fee is a flat amount per integration, invoiced after the video is live. We take nothing from creators, so you see every real price.

Think of it as the creator-partnerships hire you'd make at 200 people, paid per video instead of per month. Your part is two approvals: the channel list and the script.

Judged too early

A video goes live, signups trickle in, and two weeks later it gets called a failure. But a sponsored video keeps getting views for months, and many viewers sign up without using the link.

Each creator gets their own promo code and tracking link, and we help you add a "How did you hear about us?" question to signup, so the people who skip the link still count.

You get views, clicks, signups and cost per signup at day 30, 60 and 90, before anyone decides what to repeat.

Middlemen you can't see through

Hidden markups on creator fees, agencies pushing their own roster, contracts that lock you in.

We have no roster to push, so every channel is picked for your product. We take no commission from creators. You pay them directly, see every real price and sign with them yourself. If you stop after one video, nothing ties you to us.

How it works

  1. Rate checkfree

Tell us what you sell and who uses it. We pick about 10 channels that fit and you approve the list. We only mention your brand to channels you approved. Within a week you get every quote that came back, with open dates and what's included.

  2. You pick

Choose the channels worth the price. Nothing is booked without your OK. Two or three are enough for a first test.

  3. We run it

We negotiate the rate and the terms (exclusivity, usage rights, format, timing), write the brief, review the script and the draft, and follow up until the video is live. The brief asks for an on-screen demo and a clear call to action with your link. The creator keeps the final say on their video.

  4. Day 30, 60 and 90

You get views, clicks, signups and cost per signup from the tracking link and the "How did you hear about us?" answers, three times, because a sponsored video keeps working long after week two. Then repeat the creators that convert and drop the rest.

Questions brands ask

Why not just email creators ourselves?

You can, and plenty of teams do. What it costs is time: hours finding channels that fit, checking their real views, writing to each one, following up when half don't answer, then comparing quotes with nothing to compare them to. We do that part and you keep every decision. You approve the channels, you see every quote, and you sign with the creator directly.

How does the free rate check work?

Tell us about your product and users. We send a list of about 10 channels, and you approve or remove any of them. We then contact those channels as a no-commitment rate check, and within a week you get a table with each channel's quote, open dates and what's included. We only mention your brand to channels you approved.

Do you guarantee views or signups?

We don't promise signups, and be careful with anyone who does. Where a creator agrees, we negotiate a view guarantee into the deal: a minimum view count, with an extra video or a partial refund if it falls short. We pick channels by the median views of their recent videos, so you know what a typical video gets before you pay. At day 30, 60 and 90 you get the real numbers.

Who pays the creator?

You do, directly, at the price we negotiated. Some creators ask for part of their fee upfront; we'll tell you before you agree. We don't add a markup or take any commission from creators, and our fee is a separate invoice.

Who signs the contract with the creator?

You do. We negotiate the terms, but the agreement is between your company and the creator, so you keep full control over the deal and the usage rights.

How many channels should we start with?

Two or three integrations are enough for a first test. Then buy more from the channel that converts instead of one video from each of ten. A second or third video with the same creator usually does better than the first, because the audience already knows your product, and a bundle usually gets a better rate.

What if a creator replies after the week?

You get every quote that comes back within a week of your OK. Creators who answer later still get sent to you as they come in, at no cost. Creators are slow to answer, so a second round of replies at two to three weeks is normal.

How fast can a video go live?

The rate check takes about a week. After that it depends on each creator's schedule: often a few weeks, sometimes longer for bigger channels. Flexible dates help; creators often have a gap to fill.

Which products do you work with?

AI tools, developer tools and other software for an English-speaking audience, usually small teams without a dedicated creator-partnerships person. If YouTube isn't a good fit for your product, we'll tell you.
